Homewood Cottage Retreat

We’ve been retreating here for 10 years now.

Started out with 6 retreats a year, and switched to 3 times a year due to our snowbirds. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š
Doreen’s Fly Away quilt.
Blocks I had made, displayed on my wall at home.
There is just no bottom of my scrap box it seems… 🀷🏼‍♀️🀦🏼‍♀️
Jane’s child quilt made in honor of the 215 children.
Agnes’ BQ3 by Maple Island Quilts.
Lynda’s panel creation.

We had lots of visiting to catch up on, from our year and a half long isolations during Covid.
A great time was had by all! Hopefully the 4th wave won’t isolated us more.

Happy stitching!
Myra

Mama Bears Retreat Center

 Hello quilters!

I went to the very first retreat had, at Mama Bears Retreat Center. We had a lovely time!

Five days of good food, good talks, lots of laughs, and lots of stitching and inspirations. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜

Took my Elna along. She purrrssss like a kitten. Very happy with her.
Church turned into a retreat house for quilting, scrapbooking, knitting, etc.
Lots of room for creating and comfort.
More tables will be added as needed, for up to 14-16 crafters.
I’ve been busy scraping. There is no bottom to my scrap box! 🀷🏼‍♀️

Happy stitchings!
Myra

Link to my first blog

This is hopefully the link to my first blog under the title of  Tactile Pleasures… in Fabric

The blog I can’t access anymore.

Have a good day!

Covid Quilt

This is my Covid Quilt.

Made at the beginning of the pandemic, early 2020.

Still just a flimsy.

I’m back, but not sure of things.

I’m Myra of Tactile Pleasures in Fabrics. I started my blog in May of 2008, and posted updates quite regularly for about 8 years, and then sporadicly for 2 years. Last update was in 2018. I tried several times since then, and couldn’t get into my blog. Technology and me don’t always get along. Anyway, I think I’ve just created a new blog…? With the same name… If all goes well, I will continue from where I left off, in weekly posts. I hope I find some of my “blog friends” I had made along the way in the past.
